Jeannie Cruickshank Robertson was born on 20 November 1836 in the "New Town" of Stonehaven. She was the daughter of Peter Robertson - a Draper in the town, and his wife Harriet Wilkie Glegg. When she was 21 years old she married John Stewart Murison, a Commercial Traveller from Glasgow, on 14 July 1858.  John purchased Belmont House in Stonehaven where they lived and had three sons. Jeannie died on 7 November 1862 shortly before her 26th birthday, and was buried in Cowie Kirkyard.
