STONEHAVEN: FETTERESSO & DUNNOTTAR

The town of Stonehaven sits on the border of two parishes – Dunnottar to the south (including the old town around the harbour), and Fetteresso to the north (including the new town and Market Square).  In addition to the new (post 1900) Fetteresso Cemetery, Fetteresso Parish has burial grounds at Kirktown of Fetteresso, Cowie and the Quaker burial ground at the Howff of Ury, while the main burial ground for Dunnottar Parish is in the Kirkyard surrounding Dunnottar Church.
